Job Title: Enterprise Data Architect - Onsite Location: Naperville, Illinois.Contract/CTH Day one on-site Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Data Architect to join our team in Naperville, Illinois. This role is critical to shaping the organization’s data strategy and leading the design, implementation, and governance of scalable enterprise data architecture. The ideal candidate will collaborate across business units and technology teams to build robust, future-ready data platforms. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the organization’s enterprise data architecture strategy and governance models. Design and lead implementation of scalable and secure data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time pipelines. Define data standards, best practices, and architecture artifacts (data models, lineage, catalogs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints. Guide modernization initiatives, such as cloud data migration, data integration, and platform optimization. Lead the implementation of Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and data quality frameworks. Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and governance standards. Evaluate and recommend data tools, platforms, and emerging technologies. Mentor data engineers, analysts, and other IT stakeholders. Required Skills and Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise-level data strategy. Proficiency with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), data warehousing, and distributed data systems. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), big data technologies, and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend). Deep knowledge of databases like Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or BigQuery. Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) and data cataloging solutions. Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and scripting in SQL or Python. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align data initiatives with business goals.
