Role description
Job Title: EPIC Cogito Analyst Position Type: Contract (Immediate Start – Through End of Year) Location: Remote (Candidates must be based in the USA) Overview One of our clients is seeking a highly skilled Epic Cogito Analytics Developer with 5+ years of hands-on Cogito experience and an active Epic Cogito Certification to support enterprise-wide analytics initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable reporting and analytics solutions that transform Epic clinical and operational data into actionable insights. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between Epic data structures and enterprise business intelligence platforms, enabling informed decision-making across clinical, operational, financial, and executive leadership teams. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain advanced analytics solutions using Epic Cogito tools (Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, Radar dashboards) • Build and optimize data models, extracts, and reporting datasets to support enterprise reporting needs • Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau • Translate complex clinical, financial, and operational requirements into scalable reporting solutions • Partner with stakeholders across clinical, revenue cycle, and operational teams to gather requirements and deliver insights • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and performance across reporting environments • Support ongoing optimization of data structures, ETL processes, and reporting frameworks • Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of analytics solutions • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing reports and dashboards • Contribute to data governance, documentation, and best practices for analytics development Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Cogito tools • Active Epic Cogito Certification (required) • Strong experience with Clarity and Caboodle data models • Proven expertise in SQL development and performance tuning • Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools • Deep understanding of healthcare data workflows (clinical, operational, and/or financial) • Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Radar dashboards and SlicerDicer • Exposure to Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Revenue Cycle, or Inpatient • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes • Familiarity with data governance and healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA)
