Role description
Hybrid role
This is a requisition for an Executive Consultant with experience in Genomic Epidemiology (GE) and Advanced Molecular Diagnostic (AMD) techniques to perform an assessment of the current technology stack at TDH across lab and epidemiology environments, work with IT staff to understand current and future limitations and opportunities, use that assessment to develop and design an roadmap, and develop an implementation plan. The consultant will be expected to design the assessment based on their specific domain knowledge and create a clear vision for this project.
The candidate will need to demonstrate working, applied knowledge with laboratory information systems, communicable disease surveillance systems, IT infrastructure options such as SQL and Linux computing platforms, standard AMD software and packages, and data security and interoperability standards.
This position will require successfully eliciting needs and ideas from a variety of staff including laboratory technicians, informatics staff, disease surveillance staff, IT staff, and others. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and develop positive rapport with staff at analyst and executive levels.
