ERP Database & Reporting Developer

• This is a part time fractional position • Location: Remote Duration: 3 months + extenstions possible Hours: 20-24 hours/week Rate: 100-125+/hr We are seeking an experienced ERP Database & Reporting Developer to support SQL development, reporting, data migration, and system integration efforts for the Trimble Viewpoint Vista ERP platform. This is a hands-on, technical role working behind the scenes to ensure data is accurate, clean, and accessible across the organization. The ideal consultant is strong in SQL Server, comfortable building reports with SSRS and Crystal Reports, and experienced integrating ERP systems with other business applications. Experience with Power BI is a plus. Key Responsibilities Database Development & Maintenance • Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases supporting Trimble Viewpoint Vista ERP • Build and maintain stored procedures, views, triggers, and user-defined functions • Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, cleaning, and transformation • Improve performance by identifying and resolving slow or inefficient queries Reporting & Analytics • Develop and customize reports using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and (nice to have) Power BI • Translate business needs into clear, accurate, and actionable reporting • Support job costing, accounting, payroll, and project management reporting • Create data structures that improve reporting speed, accuracy, and usability Data Migration & ERP Conversions • Build scripts and processes to migrate data from legacy systems into Vista • Clean, validate, and standardize data to ensure consistency and accuracy • Support ERP conversion efforts and assist with data-related project tasks System Integrations • Integrate Vista ERP with other internal systems and third-party applications • Build and maintain data flows via SQL, APIs, ETL processes, or flat files • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions ERP Support & Enhancements • Troubleshoot data issues, discrepancies, and integration errors • Provide recommendations for improvements to database design and reporting • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned to operational needs Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience with SQL Server development • Strong skills in T-SQL, stored procedures, views, triggers, and performance tuning • Experience supporting ERP systems, ideally Trimble Viewpoint Vista • Hands-on experience with SSRS and Crystal Reports • Background in data migrations, ETL processes, and integrations • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical deliverables • Strong communication skills and comfort working in client-facing environments Nice to Have • Experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard creation) • Construction industry or Vista ERP domain knowledge
