Role description
6-12+ Month Contract Position
Location - Remote
We are seeking an experienced ETL / Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that support enterprise data integration and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT toolsβpreferably DataStageβand is comfortable working independently while collaborating within Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support data integration and transformation across multiple data sources
β’ Build and optimize workflows using DataStage or similar ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Ab Initio)
β’ Collaborate with architects and team members in design discussions and participate in code reviews, contributing practical and scalable solutions
β’ Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to support data processing and validation
β’ Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across all ETL processes
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues; provide production support as needed
β’ Take ownership of assigned deliverables and drive tasks through to completion with minimal guidance
β’ Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of hands-on ETL/ELT development experience
β’ Strong expertise in DataStage (preferred) or equivalent tools such as Informatica or Ab Initio
β’ Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data integration pipelines
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or Teradata
β’ Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions on time
β’ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Working knowledge of Azure data services, including Synapse Analytics and Notebooks
β’ Experience supporting ETL processes in production environments
β’ Familiarity with cloud-based data architectures and modern data platforms

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($60-$63/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
