OVERVIEW
The Senior ETL Developer plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipelines and ETL processes. This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and reliable movement of data across our systems, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. Expertise in ETL tools, data integration, and database management will be crucial in optimizing our data architecture and ensuring data quality. This is a high-pressure environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse or other target systems
Optimize and enhance existing ETL processes for performance and scalability.
High level SSIS and Azure Data Factory for both Data Warehouse and general Data Integration efforts.
Collaborate with other developers and IT resources regarding ETL initiatives.
Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into ETL solutions.
Integrate data from diverse sources such as databases, APIs, and flat files, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity across all ETL pipelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of hands-on experience in design and development of large scale database solutions
Knowledge with cloud-based ETL solutions (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS etc.) required
Strong experience in SQL and database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Strong experience in data quality, source systems analysis, business rules validation, source/target mapping
Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
High energy, self-motivation, attention to detail, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure
Flexibility to work on an as needed basis to meet deadlines
