Role description
ETL Developer
Location: New York City
Schedule: Hybrid – 50% Onsite
Contract Duration: 6 Months + Extension
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop ETL processes and Tidal jobs, including scheduling, dependencies, and Python script integration.
• Administer and maintain Tidal jobs across all environments (DEV, UAT, PROD).
• Manage ETL code in Subversion repositories (DEV & TRUNK) in line with version control best practices.
• Build and release processes using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Configure FTP connections to support automated data transmission.
• Assist the BA team with data analysis, identifying and extracting the correct datasets, and recommending data extraction rules.
• Validate all job changes before promotion to UAT and production.
• Create and manage ServiceNow tickets for all Tidal and ETL jobs.
• Track and report work progress in JIRA.
• Establish and optimize various data extraction processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of IT or process engineering experience.
• Strong background in process mapping and improvement.
• Proficiency in complex SQL queries and Python programming.
• Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong presentation skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven track record as a collaborative team player and relationship builder.
