Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled EV2 Scripting Engineer to design and maintain automation scripts for controlled and reliable deployments across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting experience and a deep understanding of Enterprise Validation & Verification (EV2) deployment systems, particularly in Azure environments. You will support build, release, and deployment processes, ensuring security, compliance, and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain EV2 scripts for automated deployment of services and components.
β’ Create and manage manifest files, configurations, and rollout plans for various environments (dev, staging, production).
β’ Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release processes.
β’ Monitor and troubleshoot EV2 jobs and deployment failures.
β’ Implement rollback strategies, canary and ring-based deployment pipelines.
β’ Maintain and evolve the release automation frameworks, templates, and deployment topologies.
β’ Ensure compliance with security and governance standards during release activities.
β’ Automate telemetry and health-check validations post-deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ 3+ years of scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or YAML-based deployment templates.
β’ Working knowledge of EV2 or similar internal Microsoft deployment systems.
β’ Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Pipelines, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
β’ Experience managing complex deployments using deployment rings, staging environments, and slot swaps.
β’ Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices and DevOps principles.
β’ Ability to debug and trace deployment failures quickly and effectively.
β’ Experience with source control tools like Git and artifact management.
