Interim Finance Control & Analytics Specialist (Expense Management)
• Central London (2 days per week onsite)
• 6-Month Contract
• ASAP Start (up to 1 month's notice considered)
• £400–£550 per day (Umbrella), depending on experience
A global professional services organisation is seeking a Finance Control & Analytics Specialist to join its regional finance function, supporting multiple European locations.
This role combines financial controls, compliance monitoring, analytics, and selected finance operations oversight. It is suited to a finance professional who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and strengthening financial governance and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and enhance travel and expense compliance and control frameworks
• Analyse spend patterns and cost trends, identifying risks and opportunities
• Review policy adherence and control effectiveness across finance processes
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and management insights
• Support governance and control improvement initiatives
• Assist with selected finance operations activities, including corporate card administration and payment validation
Requirements
• 3–5 years’ experience in finance operations, financial controls, compliance, FP&A, or analytical finance roles where you have demonstrated a strong understanding of expense management and financial governance
• Advanced Excel skills (essential)
• Experience with data visualisation or analytics tools (BI preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
