Role description
Looker Developer – London Hybrid working available Contract until the end year Outside IR35 – UPTO £525 Day rate We're looking for a Looker Developer to join our collaborative data team and help build a scalable, future-ready data platform. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing Looker semantic layers, developing robust LookML models, optimising query performance through effective caching strategies, and creating intuitive self-service reporting solutions. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help shape the transition to Looker, ensure data is trusted and accessible, and produce clear documentation to support a seamless handover. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality analytics and building a data foundation that supports both business growth and future AI initiatives. Key skills and responsibilities, • Proven experience building and maintaining semantic layers using LookML. • Experience using datagroups, caching, and model tuning to manage cloud computing costs. • Strong ability to write and optimise complex SQL queries. • Clear understanding of data warehousing concepts and data structures. • Ability to discuss data requirements with both technical and non-technical teams. • Experience documenting data models and structures for other users. • Exposure to Looker’s conversational analytics tools or natural language query features. • Experience using Git for data model version control. • Experience sharing Looker best practices with internal data peers.
