Supply Chain Data Scientist About the role We are seeking a highly experienced and organised Supply Chain Data Scientist to join our client. The successful candidate will own and deliver one or more data-driven initiatives within Supply Chain, with a focus on sustainability-related outcomes. You will leverage strong AI and data science expertise to drive business impact, while managing projects end-to-end using a structured approach and established governance frameworks. The role requires ensuring successful delivery against defined objectives, timelines, budget, scope, and quality standards, with clear ownership and stakeholder alignment throughout. Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per we ek) Key responsibili β€’ tiesA deep knowledge of supply chain models and analytics, to help us build the right models with the right science behind them. Includ β€’ ing:Understanding of how to handle/model slow moving p β€’ artsMulti-echelon inven β€’ toryHow to balance cost and service levels (fill rates and cycle service lev β€’ els)Stakeholder management skills (defining and prioritising requirements, contributing to product roadmap, supporting adoption). Motivated as much by creating business value as by algorithmic excelle β€’ nce.We will need to build some products outside Lokad. Therefore, we require the ability to work independently in Python on client's st β€’ ack:Developing analytical solutions using the core packages for data science, optimisation and simulat β€’ ion.Creating data pipelines (even though we will have a data engineer) and to get these into product β€’ ion.Knowledge of the software engineering techniques to get the solution into product β€’ ion.Ability to work with unstructured and low-quality data: we require a good business understanding to manage this β€’ wellAbility and motivation to learn Envision (the programming language of Lo β€’ kad)Lokad is a third-party software product being purchased by client: It is for data-driven supply chain analytics \ optimisation. This data scientist will do a mixture of using\customising Lokad and also developing separate tools that work alongside Lo k ad.
