A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Finance Data Scientist Position Type: Finance Data Scientist Duration: 12+ Months Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid – 2 Days in a Week Onsite) As a(n) Finance Data Scientist you will: Job Description: We are seeking a Finance Data Scientist to drive data-driven decision-making across our financial organization. This role combines advanced statistical modeling, econometric analysis, and machine learning techniques to predict financial outcomes, forecast cash flows, and perform attribution analysis. The ideal candidate will bridge finance and data science—developing models that improve forecasting accuracy, optimize spend allocation, and quantify the impact of business decisions. They will also be developing a cutting-edge platform/consumption layer with conversation AI for business users to consume predictions for efficient and timely decisions. Qualification: Master’s degree (or Ph.D. preferred) in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in financial analytics, econometrics, or applied data science. Strong knowledge of time-series modeling, regression analysis, Survival Modeling, DCF and panel data econometrics. Machine learning for financial forecasting (XGBoost, Prophet, LSTM). Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels), R and SQL. Experience with financial modeling tools and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker). Solid understanding of corporate finance principles (DCF, NPV, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements). Experience with cloud-based data environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
