β’ We are seeking an experienced Financial Data Analyst to join our team on an exciting project for CFTC involving complex financial datasets and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing financial data from CFTC-regulated entities and possess strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. This is an on-site position and U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

β’ Responsibilities:
β’
β’ Conduct business analysis, including planning and leading design sessions, gathering requirements, and developing design documentation.
Analyze data from CFTC-regulated entities (e.g., SDRs, SEFs, DCOs, DCMs, SDs, FCMs).
Design and maintain efficient ETL workflows and data pipelines for large-scale datasets (1B+ rows) across platforms including AWS, Azure, and local storage.
Perform data wrangling, anomaly detection, and analysis on incomplete or nonstandard datasets.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate findings and develop accurate insights.
Build visualizations, dashboards, and analytic tools using Python (Dash, Plotly), Tableau, AWS QuickSight, or R.
Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server), SAS platforms (SAS Viya, SAS EG), and Python environments (Jupyter Notebook, Spyder).
Leverage financial tools such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon (LSEG Workspace), and MATLAB for data modeling and insight generation.
Document technical work clearly and communicate results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Use Azure DevOps/Team Foundation Server for version control and task management.

β’ Required Qualifications:
β’
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience as a data analyst in a financial services environment, with a focus on data from CFTC-regulated entities or U.S. federal financial regulatory agencies as the SEC, FDIC, OCC, or Federal Reserve.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with all of the following:
Global Risk and FirmRisk software
SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Server Management Studio
Microsoft Azure
SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Viya
AWS (QuickSight, Redshift, SageMaker)
Python including libraries such as QuantLib, SciPy, pandas, NumPy, datetime, zipfile, glob, os, sys, gc, math, traceback, dash, and plotly
Development in both IDEs (e.g., Spyder) and Jupyter Notebook
Data visualization with Python, R, or tools such as Tableau, JMP, or QuickSight

β’ Preferred Qualifications:

β’ Demonstrated experience with datasets exceeding 1 billion records across multiple environments.
Strong ETL and data transformation skills.
Experience using JupyterHub, RStudio, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, and MATLAB.
Proven ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
