Financial Data Analyst

Salary: $30.00 to $40.00 hourly Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our team in Oriskany, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in analyzing and interpreting financial data to drive meaningful insights for business decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work on-site in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities • Collect and consolidate data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy and readiness for analysis. • Utilize statistical methods to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial data. • Develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis. • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau. • Ensure data integrity by maintaining databases and optimizing data systems. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics through detailed reporting. • Collaborate with stakeholders to present findings and support informed decision-making. • Leverage programming languages like Python or R for efficient data manipulation and analysis. • Perform data mining techniques to extract valuable information for financial planning. • Support audits and budgeting processes with accurate and timely data insights. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis within a detail-oriented environment. • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Crystal Reports. • Strong knowledge of statistical concepts and methodologies. • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R. • Expertise in database management and data warehousing. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and draw conclusions. • Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Knowledge of financial functions such as auditing, budgeting, and capital management.
