Akkodis is hiring a Framecore Farm Engineer for our client in the technology space!
Location: Remote (US)
Employment type: 1 year contract
Pay: $72 (W2)
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Contract Engineer to support our Framecore PC testing farm. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the availability, stability, and performance of a large-scale PC testing environment. You will play a key part in incident response, system updates, and supporting internal users, while collaborating closely with the machine provisioning software team as the environment continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain uptime and reliability of PC testing infrastructure through proactive monitoring and timely incident response
• Deploy system updates, patches, and configurations across test machines
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a fast-paced lab environment
• Support internal customers by diagnosing issues and ensuring minimal disruption to testing workflows
• Collaborate with the machine provisioning software team to improve automation and scalability of systems
• Document processes, issues, and resolutions to support continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience in a lab or data center environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Basic scripting experience with PowerShell and/or CMD
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams of varying technical levels
• Proven problem-solving skills with persistence in debugging complex technical issues
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
• Basic programming experience in Python or Go
• Experience using version control systems such as Git or Perforce
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries (MySQL preferred)
