Must Haves:
β’ 4+ years of work experience in data science or analytics role
β’ SQL expertise: The ability to write complex SQL queries to analyze our databases with millions of players and work with relational database systems.
β’ Familiarity with querying in Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres etc.
β’ Visualization skills: Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau or Looker
β’ Analytical coding: Fluency in programming via languages such as Python or R
β’ Tech skill: Proven experience with some or all of the following: statistics, experimental design, predictive modeling
β’ Ability to work effectively with different functions with changing priorities
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, game designers, game engineers, marketing and other analysts to deliver unambiguous business impact
β’ Excellent attention to detail, natural curiosity, and ability to problem-solve creatively
β’ Great communication and presentation skills to be able to converse with both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Self starter who can proactively dive deep into the data, develop analytical hypotheses and come up with actionable insights for improving the product
β’ Prior experience in the gaming industry needed
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Mobile Analytics, you will:
β’ Provide business insight and direction: Identify the real problems our Studios and partners want to solve, uncover and propose the problems they should be solving for and then define the right data, metrics, analyses, and interpretation to lead to the right recommendations and decisions.
β’ Enable data-informed decision making: Deliver data products that enable data-driven decision making such as source of truth dashboards, predictive models, segmentations, and insights about player behavior and game feature performance.
β’ Understand player / game fit: Help us to further understand, model, predict, segment, and retain our players and enable our Studios to launch new titles, develop features, and live ops events.
β’ Sign off on ETL pipelines: Partner closely with data engineering and validate metric definitions and data pipeline documentation.
β’ Sign off on telemetry design: Collaborate with game designers, product managers, and data QA for definitions of telemetry of various in-game features.
β’ Provide regular game health updates to partners and leadership teams as well as being able to dig into what caused improvements or declines in the business.
