One of the world Largest Banks have a urgent requirement for a hands‑on PostgreSQL Engineer to deliver a like‑for‑like migration of 5 on‑prem PostgreSQL databases to Google Cloud SQL (Postgres). The project supports a vulnerability consolidation service and is heavily execution‑focused, with some architectural input helpful but not essential. Phase 2 is likely to involve AlloyDB work.
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong, hands‑on PostgreSQL experience (essential)
• Proven delivery of cloud database migrations
• Experience with Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL
• Engineering‑led mindset; comfortable owning delivery end‑to‑end
• AlloyDB experience or exposure highly desirable for extension phase
Contract Details
• Initial term: 3 months (high likelihood of extension until end of this year)
• Location: Remote available due to urgency but preference would be based in Sheffield
• Must be based in the UK
• Must be available to work without Sponsorship
