• Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience • 1–5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform), with a focus on IaC and immutable infrastructure • 1–5+ years of experience with GCP cloud foundational offerings: IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security controls, Storage, and Compute • In-depth understanding of Google Cloud's GKE Enterprise, Serverless, Big Data, and Data Analytics native offerings such as Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, BigQuery, and underlying architectures • Experience troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining root causes for customer-reported issues, building tools for faster diagnosis • Software development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python • Understanding of good cloud architecture to ensure high availability, security, and visibility • Strong background in container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift • Understanding of traffic flow management, including service mesh concepts, with experience in Istio preferred; familiarity with GTM and LTM for managing traffic flows • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, and OTEL • Preferred knowledge of the FinOps (cloud cost optimization) domain • Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions • Proven support experience for production systems at scale • Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential.
