β’ Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
β’ 1β5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform), with a focus on IaC and immutable infrastructure
β’ 1β5+ years of experience with GCP cloud foundational offerings: IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security controls, Storage, and Compute
β’ In-depth understanding of Google Cloud's GKE Enterprise, Serverless, Big Data, and Data Analytics native offerings such as Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, BigQuery, and underlying architectures
β’ Experience troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining root causes for customer-reported issues, building tools for faster diagnosis
β’ Software development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python
β’ Understanding of good cloud architecture to ensure high availability, security, and visibility
β’ Strong background in container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
β’ Understanding of traffic flow management, including service mesh concepts, with experience in Istio preferred; familiarity with GTM and LTM for managing traffic flows
β’ Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, and OTEL
β’ Preferred knowledge of the FinOps (cloud cost optimization) domain
β’ Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
β’ Proven support experience for production systems at scale
β’ Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential.
