GCP Data Architect

Title: Senior Data Architect/Engineer (GCP, Looker, Teradata) Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid) (Preferred Local) Duration: 12+ Months • Experience working with Google Big Query (GCP) migrations and schemas • Experience working with Google Looker, specifically LookML • Experience with on-prem to cloud database migrations (would be a big plus if they knew about or worked on Teradata systems but not required) • Ultimately, the person I'm looking for will be helping to architect new data products and assist with the migration of existing data products from Teradata to GCP. We also need them to understand the Looker product as we'll be leveraging that tool for our semantic layer Skills Required: • 10+ years of experience • Data Modeling • OLTP/OLAP Database Design • Strong SQL Coding skills • Tableau Reporting Skills • Good Spoken and verbal communication • GCP Skills Responsibilities • Experience with Big Data technologies and ecosystem, data modeling tools • Experience with Project / Process management • Experience writing technical documentation • Experience with SQL • Familiarity with core data concepts (e.g. data lakes, data warehousing) and experience building data catalogs/dictionaries with business glossaries • Familiarity with cloud / distributed computing and storage concepts and technologies • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong process management • Design data models and schemas that can fit multiple business use cases leveraged by multiple core technical stacks • Define and implement data accuracy across product portfolio MUST HAVE SKILLS: • Microsoft SQL Server • Microsoft Business Intelligence(SSIS,SSAS & SSRS) • Python • GCP Data Services • Tableau EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Microsoft/Oracle SQL, GCP Data Engineer Certification, Tableau Data Analyst Certification
