Job Title: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Developer
Location: Hartford, CT
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and deploy applications and microservices on GCP
β’ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
β’ Leverage GCP services such as Cloud Functions, App Engine, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage
β’ Write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Deployment Manager
β’ Integrate GCP with third-party APIs and on-premise systems
β’ Monitor performance and optimize cost and scalability of GCP workloads
β’ Ensure application security and compliance using IAM, VPC, and other GCP security services
β’ Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ 3+ years of experience with GCP (or equivalent cloud platform with willingness to learn GCP)
β’ Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
β’ Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns and microservices architecture
β’ Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
β’ Familiarity with RESTful APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architecture
β’ Working knowledge of DevOps tools and Git-based workflows
β’ GCP certification (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with data processing pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, or Dataproc
β’ Exposure to AI/ML services in GCP such as Vertex AI
β’ Background in system design and high-availability architectures
β’ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
