GCP Infra Engineer

Only W2 (No C2C/1099) Hybrid working model – 3 day onsite/2 days remote, and an in-person final round interview Job Title: GCP Infrastructure Engineer Location options: Charlotte, NC (priority) / Dallas, TX (only if required) Contract-to-hire: 2-year contract, then FTE conversion (performance factor) Client JD- We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Infrastructure Engineer to join a stable, enterprise-scale environment. This role is focused on infrastructure deployment, platform engineering, and reliability, not application or data engineering. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong conversion intent, supporting large-scale, firm-wide platforms in a low-incident, highly optimized environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and manage GCP infrastructure using best practices • Provision and maintain cloud resources using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) • Support and enhance platform reliability, scalability, and performance • Collaborate with engineering teams to enable infrastructure solutions for large applications • Manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments • Ensure secure, compliant, and highly available cloud environments • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-level issues (non-ticket-driven, L2-style support) Required Qualifications • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure • Must understand GCP as a platform (not just individual services) • Hands-on expertise in Terraform • Writing reusable modules • Managing state and environments • Experience in: • Infrastructure provisioning and deployment • Platform support and reliability engineering • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to operate independently and contribute from Day 1 Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) • Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Kubernetes • Scripting experience (Python, Bash) or automation tools (Ansible) • Prior experience in large financial institutions (e.g., enterprise banking environments) EEO: “Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment based on – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.”
