Generalist Developer - Contract (Cyber)

The Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer Generalist to join our Technical Delivery team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical solutions, working across multiple programming languages and frameworks to meet diverse client requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement scalable and maintainable software solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals • Debug and resolve technical issues across various programming languages and platforms • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies • Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers • Continuously evaluate and improve development processes and tools Essential Skills and Experience: • Proven experience as a senior software developer or similar role • Expertise in multiple programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Go, and TypeScript • Proficiency with front-end and back-end development frameworks • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Desirable Skills: • Experience with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL) • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence • Exposure to security standards and practices for secure coding Contract Details: • Competitive day rates • On-site 5 days p/week (secret location) • Opportunity to work on high-impact projects with leading clients How to Apply: If you're ready to make a difference and join a collaborative, innovative team, apply now at www.methods.co.uk/careers.
