Generative AI Engineer

We are seeking a talented AI Engineer with a passion for data, cloud technology, and AI innovation. In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and deploy next-generation Generative AI and LLM applications supporting our Emerging & Strategic Solutions (ESS) business. You’ll be part of an Agile Scaled Framework team driving modernization and digital transformation across critical business platforms. This is a fully remote 6 month contract to hire opportunity. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this opportunity. Key Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML projects — from ideation to production. • Design, build, and deploy Generative AI and LLM-based applications. • Manage and optimize data using SQL across multiple databases (DB2, SQL Server, etc.). • Develop and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on AWS (CloudFront, EC2, S3); Azure experience a plus. • Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence). • Drive best practices in prompt engineering, data versioning, experimentation, and testing. • Create clear documentation and user stories that support business and technical clarity. • Contribute to architecture design, performance optimization, and security compliance. • Support team operations through pair programming, peer reviews, and mentorship. • Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering. • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or other modern programming languages. • Experience with AI/ML frameworks, Generative AI models, or LLM integration. • Proven success developing and deploying cloud-native applications (AWS preferred). • Deep understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments. • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical AI practices.
