Role description
Location: CHARLOTTE, NC OR DETROIT, MI About the Opportunity Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Genesys Developer. This role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-level IVR, call flows, Web Messaging, and bot flows within Genesys Cloud CX. The ideal candidate has hands-on Genesys Cloud Architect experience, strong API integration skills, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced Agile environment supporting multiple business lines. What the Right Candidate Will Enjoy! • Hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI! • Opportunity to work with one of the strongest Genesys Cloud CX engineering teams! • Support enterprise-wide banking platforms across deposits, auto, mortgage, and investments! • Ownership of IVR and call flow modernization across a high-impact contact center ecosystem! Responsibilities of the Right Candidate: • Design, develop, deploy, and support evolving IVR and Web Messaging solutions using Genesys Cloud CX Architect. • Build and enhance call flows, bot flows, authentication flows, and routing logic. • Analyze business requirements and help Product Owners and Tech Leads define clear acceptance criteria. • Collaborate with Middleware teams, Salesforce engineering, and cross-functional partners. • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, testing, and code delivery. • Create, document, and execute testing plans supporting new and existing Genesys deployments. • Troubleshoot production issues, isolate defects, and deliver long-term, scalable solutions. Experience of the Right Candidate: • 3+ years of hands-on Genesys Cloud CX development experience (PureCloud acceptable). • Strong experience developing call flows using Genesys Cloud Architect. • Experience building and integrating backend API/Web Services (REST, JSON, GraphQL preferred). • Understanding of authentication methods including OAuth and SAML. • Experience configuring Genesys components: agent scripts, data tables, schedules, routing tables. • Agile delivery experience working closely with Product Owners and technical leads. • Experience with AWS Lambda or cloud-based API integrations is preferred.
