Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Geospacial Specialist with a major corporation in Burbank, CA Duration: 18 month(s) Pay Rate: $25/hr DOE Description: The GSCC seeks a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Data Science expert to join the Geospatial Analysis Team as a Geospatial Specialist. The Geospatial Specialist will work with the team to perform mission essential tasks such as data integration and visualization projects to map the company's universe of over 200 brands and franchises across the world. The Geospatial Specialist has both a background in GIS and data science, and can perform duties such as coding, building dashboards and tools to transform GSCC processes. The Geospatial Specialist is experienced in Esri software, Microsoft office suite, and data integration tools such as Power Automate to establish connectivity to the GSCC's numerous software platforms. This will enable the GSCC to immediately identify assets impacted by man-made and natural incidents, and subsequently facilitate communications and solutions to impacted Disney personnel and their impacted business leadership, including the executive leadership of the company. The GSCC Mapping Contractor is an important member of the Travel Safety Program as they are responsible for mapping geographical locations, trips, expeditions, productions, and tours worldwide to enable the user to obtain real-time information to navigate clear from potential dangers, concerns and vulnerabilities: violent protests, inclement weather patterns, natural disasters, travel restrictions and ordinances, social media threats, medical emergencies, and other travel hazards. Plot all assets (worldwide) into department mapping tool Ensure all assets are current by cross-checking against weekly lists provided by business partners from across the enterprise Assist in briefing internal and external partners on the mapping capabilities of the GSCC Apply and utilize smart mapping tools/styles for visually stunning presentations Use intuitive analysis data tools to add valuable context by combining it with existing demographic and lifestyle data Assist with data management and entry Assist GSCC Supervisors and Managers with administrative tasks Basic Qualifications: 1-3 years exp Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites Must be a self-starter and able to take initiative Ability to work collaboratively and take directions Ability to transition between calm and extremely active work conditions Must be willing to learn unfamiliar technical systems Sense of urgency in a 24/7 work environment for quick response to critical developing issues Required working experience in: " ArcGIS Required specialized knowledge in: " VBA (Excel) " Python " Power Automate Preferred Qualifications: " Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) " Interest in security systems, physical security, threat analysis, and global affairs " Demonstrated business acumen Preferred specialized knowledge in: " JavaScript " Arcade " Everbridge " SmartSheet " Dataminr Required Education: Undergraduate degree About Software Resources Software Resources, founded more than 3 decades ago, is a trusted staffing partner specializing in Technology (IT, Creative, & Marketing), Finance, & Accounting placements.
