Job Description
We are seeking a GIS Analyst to support the Engineering Department’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) division in the development of a major ArcGIS-based application. The role involves compiling, analyzing, and georeferencing asset data across facilities such as airports, seaports, and corporate campuses.
The GIS Analyst will collaborate with technical and development teams to integrate data into ArcGIS applications, ensure compliance with data standards, and deliver high-quality reports, maps, and visualizations. This is a hybrid position with flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
Compile, manipulate, and analyze geospatial asset data (drawings, spreadsheets, documents, databases) for GIS integration.
Review, organize, and sanitize data to align with company standards.
Geo-reference collected data for use in ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS applications.
Document workflows and processes from various authoritative sources.
Collaborate with development teams to build and enhance GIS/ESRI-based applications.
Design, develop, and maintain databases and systems of GIS data.
Create reports, maps, applications, and visualizations to convey spatial analysis results.
Apply scripting languages to refine GIS data and processes.
Utilize ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online for data visualization.
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in system development and supporting GIS/ArcGIS applications.
Hands-on experience with:
ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro
Spatial Data Development
ArcGIS geoprocessing tools (e.g., CAD interoperability)
Esri Database Design and Modeling
Working knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., ArcSDE).
Proficiency in MS SharePoint and MS PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GPS, Surveying, or Mobile Data Collection.
Basic understanding of service-oriented architectures (SOA).
Work Location & Hours
Hybrid schedule: onsite at designated offices in the NY/NJ area, with flexibility for remote work.
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week, excluding unpaid meal break).
