DevSecOps Engineer (Groovy/Jenkins)
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Type: Long-term Contract (Contract-to-Hire potential)
Overview:
A leading financial services organization is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer with expertise in Groovy scripting, Jenkins pipelines, and cloud-based CI/CD automation. This role focuses on modernizing and refactoring a suite of applications in the cloud as part of a large-scale digital transformation project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy DSL scripts from scratch
• Automate build, deploy, and release processes across development and production environments
• Support and enhance CI/CD frameworks both on-premise and in the AWS cloud
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Helm and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP)
• Collaborate with application teams to enable DevSecOps best practices across 27+ applications
• Implement code scanning and security practices in the pipeline workflow
Required Skills:
• Expertise in Groovy scripting and Jenkins pipeline development
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD automation, Git, and Bitbucket
• Proficient with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Helm
• Solid understanding of AWS services (RDS, S3, EC2)
• DevSecOps mindset with experience in cloud modernization initiatives
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise modernization projects
• Background in financial services or regulated industries is a plus
