Role description
Position Overview
The GSS Data Analyst is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) to customers by ensuring the accurate monitoring, acquisition, and reporting of well data. This position plays a critical role in maintaining data quality at the wellsite, supporting drilling operations, and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
The GSS Data Analyst also identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, standardizes workflows, and manages operational risk during service execution.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Monitor, record, and process well data and parameters to ensure data integrity, reliability, and timely delivery to the customer.
β’ Operate, calibrate, and maintain sensors, data acquisition systems, and field monitoring equipment.
β’ Compile and deliver daily reports, End of Well Reports, and ad hoc data summaries as requested by customers.
β’ Provide 70% focus on data acquisition and 30% on reporting, ensuring all job deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
β’ Maintain clear and professional communication with on-site personnel and customer representatives.
β’ Protect the confidentiality of customer data and adhere to company and client data security protocols.
β’ Participate in job risk analyses, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
β’ Follow all HSE policies, maintain safety certifications, and wear required PPE at all times.
Experience & Skills
β’ Minimum 4 years of relevant field experience in data acquisition, drilling operations, or wellsite monitoring.
β’ Top 3 Skills:
β’ Strong background in well control and well monitoring
β’ Deepwater experience strongly preferred
β’ Proficient computer and data management skills (Excel, real-time monitoring tools, database systems)
β’ Strong teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility with rotational schedules.
Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree required; Geoscience or related technical discipline preferred.
Certifications
β’ TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
β’ RigPass / SafeGulf Certification
β’ HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
Physical Demands & Safety Requirements
β’ Must pass fit-for-duty medical evaluation as part of onboarding.
β’ Must comply with all offshore safety protocols and training requirements.
β’ Ability to work in offshore environments and adhere to all PPE standards.
