Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Hadoop Developer to join their team. As a Hadoop Developer, you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting innovative data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of data engineering principles which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Hadoop Developer
Location: Chandler, AZ (In-office, 3 days a week)
What's the Job?
โข Build data pipelines using big-data stack technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and PySpark.
โข Utilize Amazon AWS S3 for object storage and data service integration.
โข Engage in data modeling and database design to enhance data architecture.
โข Implement job scheduling using Autosys for efficient data processing.
โข Leverage tools like PowerBI and Dremio for data visualization and analysis.
What's Needed?
โข A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and pipeline development.
โข Proficiency in Unix/shell scripting and CI/CD pipeline practices.
โข Strong understanding of database design principles, preferably with MySQL or equivalent.
โข Experience in automating processes using Spark, Python, and Hadoop/Hive.
โข Exposure to GCP cloud data engineering is a plus, but not required.
