Role description
Contract role: Historical Data Lead
Contract location: UK Flexible/Remote with 1-2 days each month in the London office
Contract duration: 6 months, + likely extension
Contract start date: ASAP
Contract rate: Day rate inside IR35
Scoping and Planning
β’ Working alongside tech workstreams and business functions to identify applications and underlying historic data in scope for migrations
β’ Ownership and management of the historic data scope and the historic data transfer delivery plan covering all aspects (e.g. data mapping , data transfer solution design to testing and cutover events)
Data Delivery Management
β’ Drive the historic data scoping discussions with the client tech workstreams and the business to identify the data transfer scope
β’ Facilitate discussions between buyer and seller on:
β’ data mapping to agree on a single view of the data migration scope
β’ data transfer solution design and file standards
β’ Collaborate with the bankβs tech workstreams to ensure historic file readiness is complete (e.g. files are compliant with standards and governance checks are done)
β’ Manage scope and schedule of historic file transfers
β’ Ensure readiness of tech workstreams ahead of critical events
β’ Track file delivery during events and coordinate resolution of file transfer issues
Reporting
β’ Reporting of progress against application readiness towards file delivery
β’ Reporting of progress of historical file delivery
Experience:
β’ Banking experience
β’ Leading large scale data transfers/migrations, with separation or M&A experience preferred
β’ Strong understanding of data transfer approach and governance best practices
β’ Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively in cross functional team environment
β’ Working knowledge on cloud platforms (like Azure) and ETL processes preferred
β’ Strong problem solving and analytical skills to help troubleshoot file packaging and transfer issues
