Working with a not for profit healthcare organization in Connecticut to improve HR processes, workflows, reporting and AI integration.
Temporary position (12/31/25 end date)
$54.00 per hour + benefits!
Position OverviewThe HR Consultant will lead process improvement initiatives across the HR function, focusing on streamlining workflows, increasing operational efficiency, and enhancing reporting and analytics. This role will also play a critical part in identifying and implementing practical AI tools to support and modernize HR services, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assess current HR processes, workflows, and reporting systems to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Design and implement streamlined, standardized workflows for core HR functions (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance tracking).
Create or enhance HR reporting frameworks to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and strategic insights.
Evaluate and recommend AI tools to automate routine HR tasks, enhance data analysis, and improve employee and manager self-service options.
Develop and document updated process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training resources for HR staff.
Provide change management support, including communication strategies and staff training, to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and tools.
Ensure all recommended changes comply with federal, state, and Medicaid-related regulations and policies.
Collaborate with HR leadership and other business units to align improvements with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR consulting or process improvement role.
Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience in HR process mapping, workflow redesign, and implementation of process improvements.
Strong background in HR reporting, analytics, and data visualization.
Familiarity with AI applications in HR, such as automation tools, chatbots, talent analytics, or document processing.
Knowledge of compliance requirements in healthcare and/or Medicaid programs preferred.
Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
