Role: IBM CMOD Data Migration Specialist/ Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) Migration Engineer/Software Developer
Location: Remote
Pay rate: $60/hr.
Duration: 2 weeks
Project Overview:
Client is decommissioning its IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) platform and requires a skilled resource to manage the extraction, transformation, and validation of data for migration to a secure SFTP drop zone. This role is critical to ensuring data integrity and readiness for subsequent loading into OpenText Content Suite by the internal team.
Responsibilities:
• Data Extraction:
• Pull data from IBM CMOD, ensuring all associated metadata fields (e.g., File Name, Created Year, Application Group) are retained.
• Data Transformation & Mapping:
• Convert and map extracted data to meet SFTP drop zone requirements, including proper structuring of Created Year, Application Group, and content formats (TIFF, PNG, JPG, etc.).
• Validation & Reconciliation:
• Verify migrated data accuracy by reconciling record counts against historical dashboards (e.g., yearly content totals).
• Documentation:
• Produce detailed migration plans, scripts, and final reports.
• Document steps to prevent other systems from accessing CMOD scheduled jobs/tasks during migration.
• Testing:
• Conduct test migrations and validate results prior to final execution.
Deliverables:
• Data mapping document (YEAR / REPORT / ETC)
• Migration plan and scripts
• Test migration results
• Final migration report
Requirements:
• Proven experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (v9.5) and data migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle DB, AIX, and Red Hat environments.
• Expertise in scripting and automation for data migration.
• Familiarity with SFTP protocols and secure data transfer practices.
• Ability to validate large datasets and reconcile record counts.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Timeline:
• All migration activities must be completed by December 13, 2025, to support CMOD decommissioning by year-end.
Additional Notes:
• Loading data into OpenText Content Suite is out of scope and will be handled internally.
• Client will provide access and approvals; resource must ensure timely execution and accuracy.
