IBM MQ & IBM ACE Developer

Position - IBM MQ & IBM ACE Developer Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) Eligibility- GC , USC ,H4EAD AND GCEAD Pay Rate: $65/hr. on 1099/C2C Top Skills that are a MUST have - IBM MQ and IBM ACE, Scripting techs (ansible, terraform, etc), Kafka experience (general is fine - Rabbit MQ is fine too) This position is someone who has experience in IBM MQ and IBM Ace - helping application teams with integrations - being on call as needed if there are any issues - try to triage / fix as needed. End to end responsibility of IBM MQ and IBM Ace as a platform - starting with infrastructure and ending with triage / support and everything in between. Must have Rabbit MQ and Kafka experience. Expert in IBM MQ is required as well. Terraform / Ansible experience is a must as they manage their environments using scripts. Project Description: • Data Transport Team provides Middleware / Integration services to most of the application teams within Client. • This role requires the resource to work on the Intake requests that would be submitted by multiple projects for creating the Integrations between apps . • Along with it this role will be supporting the existing technology infrastructure /platforms or in some cases installing & setting up new ones as part of the Data Transport team that are used to provide the services to the app clients. Position Summary/Job Description: • Perform engineering tasks related to installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure & technology platform such as IBM MQ & IBM ACE primarily • Experience on any of these like Informatica Power Center & Data Quality, Kafka, RabbitMQ , AWS Glue, AWS SQS/SNS, AWS MSK, Amazon MQ (Active MQ and RabbitMQ) etc., will be a plus. • Install and configure these large-scale systems On-Prem and / or on Cloud (AWS) across distributed OS platforms like RedHat Linux, Amazon Linux etc., following standardized and automated process using Infrastructure-as-Code. • Work with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef, Ansible Terraform, Vagrant, and Test-Kitchen. • Provide input into infrastructure architecture designs. • Create integrations for the messaging services for the application teams and support them through their testing and production implementation. • Leverage Agile development methodologies. • Ensure that the technologies and architecture are up-to-date, stable, and • compliant, meeting enterprise and security standards. • Utilize industry standard technologies & methods to ensure the integrity & recoverability like backup & recovery, clustering, security, patch management, enterprise monitoring & performance tuning. • Proactively monitor and report performance and utilization of assigned • technologies. • Troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues & failures independently. • Resolve alerts and perform remediation activities. • Participate in a rotating on call schedule. • Collaboratively working with other members of the team.
