Job Title: IFE Engineer β Quvia Quality
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 9 months
Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr
What you'll do
β’ Collect and document technical requirements for product enhancements
β’ Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and deliverables
β’ Develops a strong understanding of the application and domain to perform hands-on testing of the applications/services from a technical standpoint including non-functional aspects such as load, response time, end-to-end connectivity, availability, security etc.
β’ Identifies, creates, executes, and manages test plan and test cases by evaluating functional and non-functional requirements
β’ Whenever possible, creates test automation based on functional and non-functional requirements
β’ Manages the status of defects/enhancements in applicable change management systems or excel and provide updates to the team on a regular basis
β’ Helps troubleshoot issues that arise during project lifecycle and operations
β’ Participates in meetings with the business teams, and vendors as applicable, to discuss requirements, design and testing updates
β’ Creates metrics/reports to capture test progress for projects and releases
β’ Handles testing efforts for multiple projects/releases concurrently
β’ Proactively identifies ways to improve testing processes and techniques
β’ Builds strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders
β’ Identifies quality risks and issues that impacts project deliveries

Minimum Qualifications-
Education & Prior Job Experience
β’ With at least 5 years of related experience
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline.
β’ Product/Process Management - Ability to gather and document technical requirements, develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables for product deployment and enhancement.
β’ Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) Performance Monitoring
β’ Communication and Collaboration - the ability to foster open dialogue and cross-functional teamwork to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
β’ Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Sharepoint and Word.
β’ Basic understanding of scripting languages such as javascript, python, groovy scripting, ruby etc.
β’ Good understanding of Azure DevOps
β’ Familiarity with Java and Linux
β’ Basic understanding of J2EE, SQL, Oracle Database
β’ Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile
β’ Good problem solving skills
β’ Ability to be flexible and focused to deliver products with different priorities and timelines
β’ Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources
β’ Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances
β’ Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
