Job#: 2075880 Job Description: Implementation Engineer (Capital Markets) Apex Systems is a large staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for Implementation Engineer with Capital Markets exposure, strong experience with FIX protocol, experience with messaging formats (i.e. MQ, Kafka, JSON) , and experience with configuring and implementing Order Management Systems such as Fidessa, Flextrade etc. to place at our client, a top 5 Financial Institution. Please reference Job Title Implementation Engineer (Capital Markets) Project Scope: This team aims to evaluate existing tech stacks within the Bank, and improve or rebuild outdated or inefficient processes, and ensure the integration of any new deployments goes smoothly. Responsibilities: • Evaluating existing tech stacks within the Bank, and provide/action process improvements. • Evaluating existing vendor relationships as well as vendor tools to identify areas for improvement. • Assist in the implementation of any new tools ensuring that the integration into the production environment runs smoothly. • UAT testing and configuration for any new tools/assets. • Will work with systems within the US, CANADA, and Europe, as well as across multiple asset classes within the bank. • Heavy use of FIX protocol Key Qualifications: • 10+ years in a similar role at major financial institutions. • Excellent verbal, written, communication skills. • Organized, ability to prioritize. • Previous experience with FIX protocol. Experience with other protocols and messaging formats such as Kafka, gRPC, MQ, JSON is a plus. • Previous experience with OMS, such as Fidessa, FlexTrade, Tbricks, WEX, TRAFiX etc. • Previous experience with equities.
