Description

Cigna Information Protection is an integral part of IT whose mission is to protect customer data from unauthorized access by preventing, detecting and responding to internal and external Cyber Security threats. This position is best suited for an experienced vulnerability management engineer with a proven understanding of enterprise security. The successful candidate will possess deep technical knowledge on a number of security technologies; have a solid understanding of information security and networking, and extensive experience interacting with customers. The Vulnerability Management Engineer is responsible for management of monthly vulnerability scans across the enterprise and correlating vulnerability results from disperse systems into a single platform for analytics. The primary focus for this role is to act as a Subject Matter Expert for the vulnerability management tool set and be able to configure, analyze, and correlate vulnerability data from multiple platforms into a single system.
Primary Responsibilities
β’ Contribute to the development and execution of a global vulnerability management program, through technical leadership of initiatives and projects which will further enhance the Enterprise security posture
β’ Lead technical design and execution for large to global enterprise sized application or infrastructure projects that have major impact on the IT infrastructure
β’ Analyzes data from threat and vulnerability sources and analyzes data for applicability to the organization
β’ Collects and aggregates information from a wide variety of vulnerability sources and formats them for relevance to our environment for reporting
β’ Provide 3rd level support and troubleshooting for issues escalated from more junior engineers on installed technical solutions.
β’ Coordinates, monitors, and supports activities in the areas of vulnerability scanning across internal and external infrastructure and web applications
β’ Provides input; helps prepare and update VM roadmap; and develops, maintains, and publishes project plans
β’ Develop close working partnerships with functional senior leaders to ensure analysts have the support, products, and permissions they need to accomplish their mission
β’ Maintain an ongoing development of current threat intelligence and vulnerability analysis with an in-depth knowledge of identification, mitigation, and recovery strategies
Qualifications
β’ 6+ years security engineering experience in mid-sized to large organizations, with emphasis on security operations and vulnerability management.
β’ Proficient with Forescout
β’ Proficient with Tenable - experience with administering and running Tenable vulnerability platforms
β’ Demonstrated ability to work with matrixed resources in a team environment.
β’ Excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in technical writing
β’ Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP communications, common protocols, and applications at the network level
β’ Ability to ensure activities are in alignment with the business objectives and risk management framework
β’ Strong technical skills, which may include experience with Linux and Window operating systems and scripting languages like Python.
β’ Ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
β’ Experience working with platform owners to resolve vulnerability and configuration issues
β’ Preferred Industry Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC
β’ Some SANS Training completed
β’ Bachelor degree and several years of experience in all aspects of cyber security and computer operations or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
β’ Rapid 7 (nice to have)
β’ Scripting with Bash and PowerShell (nice to have)
β’ API programming experience
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $60.00/hour-$78.00/hour
