Information Technology Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Contract: 6–12 Month Daily Rate Contract Job Description: Our client, a well-established organisation undergoing significant technology and process change, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives and the implementation of new technology solutions. Job Responsibilities: • Engage with stakeholders across multiple business functions to gather, analyse and document business requirements. • Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. • Translate business needs into clear, structured functional and system requirements for technical teams. • Support large-scale IT implementation and transformation programmes from initiation through to delivery. • Contribute to process redesign initiatives and continuous improvement activities. • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with documented requirements and business objectives. • Assist in the preparation of documentation including business cases, functional specifications and process maps. • Provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle including testing, validation and stakeholder communication. Experience Required: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis, business transformation or change-focused roles. • Proven experience working with stakeholders across large and complex organisations. • Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into detailed system and functional specifications. • Experience contributing to major IT implementation or transformation programmes. • Exposure to both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies. • Experience supporting and enhancing a wide range of enterprise business applications. • Broad technical awareness including SDLC, Agile frameworks, IT infrastructure, databases, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data protection and IT governance principles. Desirable Skills: • Strong documentation and process mapping capabilities. • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments. • Familiarity with business process modelling tools. • Professional Business Analysis certification (e.g. IIBA, BCS) advantageous. Educational Requirements: • Third level degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
