Information Technology Specialist

We are partnering with a leading organization in the pharmaceutical sector to find a Data Analytics & Visualization Specialist for a 6-month contract. This role is pivotal for driving business intelligence within their learning and development ecosystem. What You’ll Do You will be responsible for end-to-end data visualization and engineering, specifically focusing on metrics that demonstrate business impact. You’ll collaborate across teams to translate raw data from various learning platforms into intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that help stakeholders make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities • Develop & Optimize: Build and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards using robust DAX programming. • Engineer Solutions: Manage data modeling, ETL processes, and leverage modern data architecture (Microsoft Fabric/Azure) to ensure data integrity and accessibility. • Tell the Story: Create visually compelling, story-driven dashboards that make complex information digestible for non-technical stakeholders. • Drive Learning Insights: Implement and support learning technology projects, with a focus on metrics that align with organizational goals. • Innovate: Explore and implement modern AI tools (such as Copilot or ChatGPT) to accelerate development workflows. Minimum Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. • Power BI Mastery: 3+ years of demonstrated, hands-on expertise in Power BI development, specifically including complex DAX language programming. • Data Engineering: Proficiency with modern data tools (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or equivalent). • Dashboarding: A proven track record of designing metrics dashboards that demonstrate clear business impact. • Core Fundamentals: Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and architectural principles. • Portfolio: Ability to provide a portfolio (or examples) demonstrating your ability to create visually compelling, story-driven dashboards. • Domain Knowledge: Experience implementing or supporting learning technology projects. Additional Preferences (Bonus Points) • Advanced Education: M.S. degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields. • LMS Expertise: Experience with learning analytics, particularly SAP SuccessFactors Learning, xAPI, SCORM, or LRS platforms. • Specialized Tools: Experience with skill-based assessment platforms (e.g., Workera) or Smartsheet dashboard development. • Pharma Experience: Working knowledge of regulated pharmaceutical environments. • Technical Versatility: Programming experience in Python, SQL, JavaScript, or R. • Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
