Role description
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Business Analyst with a solid background in the banking or financial services sector to join our team in either Sheffield or Birmingham. This hybrid role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week, collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that meet critical business and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT infrastructure teams.
• Gather, analyse, and document requirements for infrastructure-related initiatives including data centres, servers, networks, cloud migration, and cybersecurity upgrades.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional infrastructure requirements.
• Support infrastructure project delivery by ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
• Participate in RFPs/RFIs and vendor assessments where required.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication across business and technology teams.
• Assist in developing business cases and cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure investments.
• Ensure compliance with banking industry standards, regulations, and internal risk policies.
• Support testing, change management, and transition to BAU (Business As Usual).
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure (e.g., servers, networks, cloud platforms, data centres, disaster recovery, etc.).
• Solid understanding of infrastructure lifecycle and ITIL processes.
• Excellent documentation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to financial institutions (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, FCA regulations).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
