Role description
Insights & Analytics Freelancer MikeWorldWide is looking for a freelancer to support MWW’s Research & Insights team. This individual will work with agency clients and on new business proposals to shape and support communication strategies, creative direction and content development and help identify opportunities to increase audience affinity and engagement. Job Description This individual will be responsible for uncovering rich audience, category and cultural insights and translate them into holistic strategies that resonate across multiple platforms. They will parse through multiple information sources (social and traditional media listening tools, proprietary research, syndicated databases, business intelligence, secondary research, etc.) to uncover meaningful data and fresh insights and identify direct implications for client’s business. Technically, this individual will demonstrate expertise in data synthesis and interpretation and will be skilled in delivering – and coaching others to deliver – business-relevant, insights-led research and reporting with clear storylines. Primary Responsibilities β€’ Analyze social, digital, and traditional media data using qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop actionable insights β€’ Use data visualization skills and tools to analyze, package and communicate findings to key stakeholders, both internally and to external clients β€’ Help oversee client projects and junior team members Requirements β€’ Ability to translate data into insights that help clients understand audience needs and behavioral drivers β€’ Strong knowledge of strategic marketing, media, social, audience targeting tools and vendors, including both quantitative tracking and research methodologies β€’ Deep understanding of the digital landscape β€’ Strong business, marketing & consumer understanding β€’ Interest in what moves popular culture β€’ Excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically the ability to convey research findings in a concise and effective manner β€’ Ability to work individually and in a team setting β€’ Ability to remain organized, driven, and focused on multiple projects at a time β€’ Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to new projects β€’ Project/time/client management skills β€’ Strong presentation and data visualization skills β€’ Enthusiastic, eager, and curious Required Background & Qualifications β€’ 6+ years of experience in marketing/communications analytics, research and insights function preferably in an agency setting β€’ Required research tools and skills: Brandwatch/Netbase or social listening equivalent, LexisNexis/Factiva/Meltwater/NewsWhip or traditional media equivalent, MRI-Simmons, Quid 20 hours/week Up to $100 hour
