Description
We are looking for a skilled Insurance/Reinsurance Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in analyzing and visualizing financial and business data to support decision-making processes. Consultant MUST have strong experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry with reporting, working with reserves, ceded insurance, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced Excel, Oracle Fusion, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Responsibilities
β’ Extract and analyze financial data from Oracle Fusion to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
β’ Design and implement advanced Excel templates to streamline business metrics reporting.
β’ Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau to present actionable insights.
β’ Monitor monthly business expenditures and project accruals to ensure alignment with financial goals.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve budget variances, ensuring financial accuracy.
β’ Perform routine account analysis across multiple business units to support strategic initiatives.
β’ Create automated processes to consolidate data and enhance reporting efficiency by reducing manual effort.
β’ Partner with cross-functional teams to develop compliance reports and improve collaboration using Microsoft Office 365 solutions.
β’ Utilize data mining techniques and business intelligence tools to uncover trends and opportunities.
β’ Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions that optimize departmental workflows and save time.
Requirements
β’ Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel techniques, including automation and modeling.
β’ Experience working with Oracle Fusion for financial data extraction and analysis.
β’ Strong skills in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
β’ Solid understanding of data mining techniques and business intelligence methodologies.
β’ Ability to create dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex information.
β’ Familiarity with API tools such as Maps API and data integration platforms like Informatica.
β’ Proven experience in performing analytics and AB testing to support business decisions.
β’ Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
