Salary: $55.00 to $65.00 hourly Description We are looking for a skilled Insurance/Reinsurance Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in analyzing and visualizing financial and business data to support decision-making processes. Consultant MUST have strong experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry with reporting, working with reserves, ceded insurance, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced Excel, Oracle Fusion, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Responsibilities • Extract and analyze financial data from Oracle Fusion to support budgeting and forecasting processes. • Design and implement advanced Excel templates to streamline business metrics reporting. • Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau to present actionable insights. • Monitor monthly business expenditures and project accruals to ensure alignment with financial goals. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve budget variances, ensuring financial accuracy. • Perform routine account analysis across multiple business units to support strategic initiatives. • Create automated processes to consolidate data and enhance reporting efficiency by reducing manual effort. • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop compliance reports and improve collaboration using Microsoft Office 365 solutions. • Utilize data mining techniques and business intelligence tools to uncover trends and opportunities. • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions that optimize departmental workflows and save time. Requirements • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel techniques, including automation and modeling. • Experience working with Oracle Fusion for financial data extraction and analysis. • Strong skills in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. • Solid understanding of data mining techniques and business intelligence methodologies. • Ability to create dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex information. • Familiarity with API tools such as Maps API and data integration platforms like Informatica. • Proven experience in performing analytics and AB testing to support business decisions. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
