Job Title: Interface Developer (OpenLink Specialist) Location: Fully Remote Industry: Healthcare IT Client: Leading Health System in South Florida Employment Type: 2 year long contract + extensions Job Overview Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interface Developer to join one of the largest and most respected health systems in South Florida. This is a fully remote opportunity where you’ll play a key role in developing, supporting, and enhancing clinical and financial data integrations across multiple systems. The right candidate will be an OpenLink expert who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has a strong grasp of HL7 messaging standards, networking protocols, and healthcare data compliance. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain interface integrations primarily using OpenLink (75%) and CorePoint (25%) technologies. • Interpret and implement various HL7 message formats (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, RDE, MDM, SIU). • Monitor and proactively support live system interfaces to minimize downtime and optimize performance. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex interface-related issues in real time. • Analyze technical specifications and data structures for interface development and enhancement. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions. • Maintain and update comprehensive documentation of interface environments and system workflows. • Ensure HIPAA compliance and other healthcare data privacy regulations are adhered to. • Utilize strong networking knowledge, including VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, and HTTP, to manage connectivity and data exchange protocols. • Prioritize tasks effectively based on severity of user impact and business needs. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenLink interface development (candidates without this will not be considered). • Deep expertise in HL7 messaging standards and healthcare system workflows. • Proven ability to understand and implement complex data structures and technical specifications. • Strong grasp of networking concepts and protocols (VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, HTTP). • Experience monitoring and managing live production environments. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. • Solid understanding of HIPAA and healthcare IT compliance standards. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with CorePoint interface engine. • Familiarity with Cerner FSI (Foreign System Interface) or similar healthcare systems. • Prior experience working with interface sustainment and enhancement in a team-based environment.
