Job Overview
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interface Developer to join one of the largest and most respected health systems in South Florida. This is a fully remote opportunity where youβll play a key role in developing, supporting, and enhancing clinical and financial data integrations across multiple systems. The right candidate will be an OpenLink expert who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has a strong grasp of HL7 messaging standards, networking protocols, and healthcare data compliance.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain interface integrations primarily using OpenLink (75%) and CorePoint (25%) technologies.
β’ Interpret and implement various HL7 message formats (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, RDE, MDM, SIU).
β’ Monitor and proactively support live system interfaces to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex interface-related issues in real time.
β’ Analyze technical specifications and data structures for interface development and enhancement.
β’ Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.
β’ Maintain and update comprehensive documentation of interface environments and system workflows.
β’ Ensure HIPAA compliance and other healthcare data privacy regulations are adhered to.
β’ Utilize strong networking knowledge, including VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, and HTTP, to manage connectivity and data exchange protocols.
β’ Prioritize tasks effectively based on severity of user impact and business needs.
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenLink interface development (candidates without this will not be considered).
β’ Deep expertise in HL7 messaging standards and healthcare system workflows.
β’ Proven ability to understand and implement complex data structures and technical specifications.
β’ Strong grasp of networking concepts and protocols (VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, HTTP).
β’ Experience monitoring and managing live production environments.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
β’ Solid understanding of HIPAA and healthcare IT compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with CorePoint interface engine.
β’ Familiarity with Cerner FSI (Foreign System Interface) or similar healthcare systems.
β’ Prior experience working with interface sustainment and enhancement in a team-based environment.
