Role description
Job Title: Inventory Control Data Analyst
Location: Flower Mound, TX 75028 (2 days a week onsite, occasional travel if needed)
Job Type: 6 month contract with potential for extension
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and analytical Data Analyst to join our inventory focused supply chain team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in data analysis with a strong command of SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. This role will play a critical part in turning complex data into actionable insights to drive decision-making for a major supply chain modernization initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
• Extract, clean, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources to support supply chain operations
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to communicate key trends and KPIs
• Write complex SQL queries to access and manipulate structured data from relational databases
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver insights to improve supply chain efficiency
• Perform root cause analysis of supply chain issues using historical and real-time data
• Develop recurring reports to monitor inventory, vendor performance, lead times, and service levels
• Identify opportunities for process improvement through data modeling and predictive analytics
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reports, dashboards, and databases
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience minimum in a data analyst role, ideally within a supply chain, logistics, or
• operations setting
• Advanced SQL skills, with experience querying and transforming large data sets
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of supply chain concepts and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• High attention to detail, data accuracy, and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
• Background in forecasting, inventory optimization, or supply planning analytics
