Job Description
Position Overview: The IoT Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining IoT solutions. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT technologies into products and processes, enhance system performance, and deliver innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and deploy IoT systems including hardware integration, embedded software, sensors, and connectivity solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, software developers, and engineering teams to develop and refine IoT applications.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and solutions.
• Maintain and optimize IoT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Perform data analysis and visualization to drive insights from IoT-generated data.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions.
• Keep abreast of emerging IoT technologies, recommending innovations and enhancements to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Current DOD Secret or Top Secret or ability to obtain a security clearance
• Proven experience developing and implementing IoT solutions.
• Proficiency with IoT platforms, cloud services (AWS IoT, Azure IoT), and embedded systems.
• Experience with connectivity protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, ZigBee, BLE, LoRa, or similar.
• Familiarity with programming languages including Python, C++, Java, or Node.js.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in collaborative environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in relevant technical field.
• Certifications in IoT or cloud platforms.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and IoT security best practices.
• Previous involvement with large-scale IoT deployments and systems management.
