Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled contractor to supplement our internal IT operations team during a third-party NIST assessment. This role will serve as a technical bridge between our internal team and the assessed team, providing hands-on support and strategic guidance across Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations leadership, Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access policies, networking, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Azure, Intune, and Conditional Access. Support the implementation and troubleshooting of Conditional Access policies and identity governance. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure and compliant configurations aligned with NIST standards. Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for networking, endpoint management, and cloud infrastructure. Assist in documentation and remediation efforts related to the NIST assessment. Serve as a liaison between the assessed team and internal IT operations, ensuring timely and accurate support. Monitor and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments for performance, security, and compliance. Support Intune configuration and policy enforcement across devices. Participate in incident response and change management processes. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with leadership or lead-level responsibilities. Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Conditional Access, and identity governance. Strong working knowledge of Azure infrastructure and services. Experience with Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, and policy enforcement. Solid networking background (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls). Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-300, AZ-104, MS-102). Experience supporting third-party audits or assessments. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
