Location: Austin, TX (9442 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78759) – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday On-site
Working Hours: 9-5pm (Somewhat flexible)
Contract Duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension or conversion to permanent

Job Title: IVVQ Specialist
Position Summary
We are looking for an Integration, Validation, Verification and Qualification (IVVQ) Engineer to join us in Austin, TX. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering tailor made solutions to state and local government agencies to issue official documents (Driver’s License, ID cards), and to perform biometric comparisons for government or law enforcement customers. This is a central position in our fast paced organization requiring a combination of high technical skills and good communication with a strong problem-solving mindset and leadership skills.
The IVVQ Engineer is focused on improving the system by running tests, ensure the test preparation and execution according to the test strategy and report their progress to project team. They create defects to test deficiencies in the system and follow up with the corrections. They manage the test platform and data in order to execute tests.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility
Be part of the project team working on innovative solutions in the Identity and Biometric scope
Work alongside the customer during project setup and implementation. May require onsite presence.
Design the validation strategy and develop scripts to perform automated testing on the developed solution
Focus on reliability, robustness and performance of full solution by using your development skills and quality assurance knowledge
Understand the solution architecture and software components to optimize the test coverage and minimize the risks
Create and execute quality assurance plans, acceptance and validation test plans, test scripts and other documents required by us project management process
Define validation scenarios to ensure requirement coverage and guarantee their implementation
Responsible for test execution, bug tracking of complete solution on validation and UAT environments
Review and assess specifications, technical design documents and test scripts of different components
Determine and contribute towards automation of new feature tests and expand on regression tests cases
Work directly with Project Manager, Technical leader and project team to meet the timeline and expected level of quality
Report progress against deadlines as requested by management
Collaborate with our customers during project implementation and provide demonstration when needed
Provide investigative support on SIT, Staging, production environment
Participate in conforming to company standards, actively improve them and share lessons learnt with management
Share responsibility for supporting deployed solution in production environment as Level 3 support
Other duties as assigned by the employee’s manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT or another relevant field of study (or foreign equivalent) or equivalent experience.
5+ Years of experience validation Windows and web applications using .NET/Java based platforms to perform end to end testing
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast paced, high technology environment.
3+ Years of experience with variety of Validation methodologies such as Functional, Integration, Performance, Usability, Acceptance testing
3+ years of experience with common defect management and tools (example JIRA)
Strong knowledge of IVVQ methodologies (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification), tools and processes
Proven experience with API testing using Soap/Rest protocols
Expertise with IVVQ activities estimation, schedule and time management, tracking tasks progress, risks and actions management
Strong knowledge on data communication/networking protocols/technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, LDAP)
Proven experience writing SQL queries to search Database on regular basis.
Strong understanding of security for application development; experience with data persistence and querying
Expertise in handling and performing troubleshooting on software & hardware in a high pressure environment
