Key Responsibilities
β’ JAMA Upgrade and Migration: Lead the end-to-end migration from JAMA 8.20.1 to 9.26, ensuring all existing functionality, reports, and dashboards are preserved and work as expected in the new environment.
β’ Instance Consolidation: Strategize and execute the consolidation of multiple running JAMA instances into a single, unified instance.
β’ Data Analysis and Migration: Analyze project and data types to identify what can and cannot be migrated between instances. Develop a plan for migrating all transferable data, including projects, requirements, comments, and user information.
β’ Data Archiving and Reporting: For data that cannot be migrated, develop a process to snapshot this information into a database and build reports for future reference and access.
β’ User Management and Integration: Integrate the new JAMA instance with our Active Directory or LDAP for seamless user authentication and management.
β’ Testing and Validation: Set up and optimize test servers for performance and functionality testing. Conduct thorough unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure a smooth transition to the production environment.
β’ Compliance: Ensure all data migration processes adhere to relevant data privacy and compliance requirements.
β’ Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of the upgraded JAMA instance on the test and production servers.
Required Experience
β’ Proven experience as a JAMA developer or lead administrator.
β’ Demonstrable expertise in JAMA upgrades and migrations, specifically from older versions to 9.26.
β’ Extensive experience with JAMA instance consolidation.
β’ In-depth knowledge of data migration strategies, including identifying transferable and non-transferable data.
β’ Familiarity with database management for data archiving and reporting.
β’ Experience integrating JAMA with LDAP or Active Directory.
β’ Strong background in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including comprehensive testing (unit, integration, UAT).
β’ A solid understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements related to enterprise data migration.
β’ Experience in setting up and optimizing test server environments.
β’ A proven track record of ensuring existing functionality is fully preserved post-migration
