Java - Intermediate

Position: Java - Intermediate Location: Jersey City, New Jersey Duration: Contract to hireResponsibilities • Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy high-quality software solutions. • Write secure, production-ready code and review/debug peers’ work. • Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and architects for operational improvements. • Implement CI/CD and TDD best practices to ensure stable, scalable solutions. • Build REST and SOAP web services using Java and Spring. • Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies. • Contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in Core Java development. • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies. • Experience with CI/CD, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Cloud Development. • Expertise in Java, Spring, REST/SOAP web services. • Strong understanding of microservices, JUnit testing, and mocking frameworks. • Familiarity with WebSphere/Tomcat environments. • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
