Java Tech Lead

Job Title: Java / MS Tech Lead Location: Glasgow, UK (Onsite) Contract Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Hands-on Tech Lead to join our team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have strong Full Stack development experience with a primary focus on Java, Microservices, Oracle databases, and enterprise application development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and team guidance. Key Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience in Java and Microservices Architecture • Full Stack development background with modern web technologies • Extensive experience with Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning • Strong understanding of system design, integration patterns, and scalable applications • Experience leading technical teams and driving best practices • Knowledge of CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles • Exposure to Microsoft technologies (.NET/C#) is desirable Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of enterprise applications • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams • Drive architecture decisions and ensure solution scalability • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders • Perform code reviews and maintain development standards • Support application performance optimization and database tuning Required: Senior-level experience, strong Java/Microservices expertise, and excellent Oracle/database knowledge.
