Jr. Solution Architect – Banking | Edinburgh (Hybrid) | £500–£550/day | Contract 15 Months About the Role: We are seeking a motivated Junior Solution Architect to join our client’s Banking Technology team in Edinburgh. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale data modernization and migration projects from on-prem to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate closely with senior architects, data engineers, and business teams to design scalable, cloud-based solutions that drive digital transformation within the banking sector. Key Responsibilities: • Support senior architects in translating business needs into technical solutions. • Contribute to solution design, documentation, and integration architecture. • Participate in data migration and modernization initiatives from on-prem to GCP. • Work with SAS and GCP technologies to ensure efficient delivery. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure project alignment. Required Skills: • 1–3 years of experience in solution design, data engineering, or technical consulting. • Hands-on experience with SAS (Viya, 9.4, Visual Analytics, Studio). • Working knowledge of GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, IAM). • Understanding of ETL, APIs, and cloud-native architectures. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have: • Experience in banking/financial services. • Exposure to hybrid (on-prem + cloud) architectures.
